Based in Atlanta, GA, Erik Paynter is a seasoned CG Generalist and Technical Director with expertise in VFX, 3D Animation, Virtual Production, and AR/VR/Realtime applications. His portfolio boasts a range of projects from films and television to cutting-edge VR experiences.

 

Influenced by the creative visionaries of the ’80s such as Jim Henson, George Lucas, and Spielberg, Erik began his educational journey at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. There, he studied Industrial Design with an emphasis on puppetry and animatronics. Recognizing the potential of CGI, he transitioned to Computer Animation.
